Pavanmuktasana (Gas-releasing pose):
Lie flat on your back, hands by your side. Fold your legs back, placing your feet flat on the floor; make a fingerlock with your hands and place them a little below the knees. Bring your thighs up near your chest. Exhale and raise your head and shoulders and bring your nose between your knees. This is the final position. Maintain this pose for a few seconds
and repeat three to five times. Reverse the procedure to get back to the original position.
This asana strengthens the abdomineal muscles and internal abdominal organs like the
liver, spleen, pancreas, and stomach.
It helps release excessive gas from the abdomen and relieves flatulence. Persons
suffering from constipation should do this exercise in the morning after drinking lukewarm
water to help proper evacuation of the bowels.
Chakrasana (Lateral bending pose):
Stand straight with your feet and toes together and arms by your sides, palms facing and
touching the thighs. Raise one arm laterally above the head with the palm inwards up to
shoulder level and palm upwards when the arm rises above the level of your head. Then,
bend your trunk and head sideways with the raised arm touching the ear, and sliding the
palm of the other hand downwards towards the knee. Keep your knees and elbows
straight throughout. Maintain the final pose for a few seconds. Then gradually bring your
hand back to the normal position. Repeat the exercise on the other side.
This asana induces maximum stretching of the lateral muscles of the body, especially the
abdomen. It strengthens the knees, arms and shoulders and increases lung capacity.
Trikonasana (Triangle pose):
Stand erect, with your legs apart. Stretch your arms up to shoulder level. Bend your trunk
forwards and twist to the left, looking upwards and keeping your left arm raised at an
angle of 900. Place your right palm on your left foot without bending the knees. Maintain
this pose for a few seconds. Then straighten up and return to the normal position. Repeat
the procedure on the other side.
Trikosana is an all-round stretching exercise. It keeps the spinal column flexible and
reduces the fat on the lateral sides of the body. Besides, it stimulates the adrenal glands

We hear about people having weight loss surgery - having their ’stomach stapled’, and so on - with a kind of horrified fascination. What could drive someone to do a thing like that? For the vast majority of people, weight loss surgery is not in the books - if your weight problem is mild to moderate, you are much better off controlling it through diet and exercise rather than resorting to surgery.
A small percentage of people, however, have already ‘tried everything’ and found that their bodies hold onto the weight despite their best efforts. And the problem of obesity goes far beyond the aesthetic - being morbidly obese can be nothing short of deadly. It heightens your chances of having a heart attack or other type of cardiac disease. It also raises your chances of contracting adult onset diabetes. Both of those conditions can be deadly - and they often are. For that reason, if you are very overweight and have literally ‘tried everything’ to lose weight, you may want to talk to your doctor about weight loss surgery.
This is not to be confused with cosmetic surgery such as a tummy tuck or liposuction, which physically removes fat from your body so that you look better. Weight loss surgery is designed to ‘make’ you lower your food and calorie intake. There are two basic types: one type of weight loss surgery makes the stomach cavity smaller. This means that you feel full faster, and that your stomach can’t hold the amount of food that it used to. The other type of weight loss surgery interferes with the absorption of food after it is eaten. During digestion, most of the absorption of fat and calories takes place in the small intestine. If there’s no absorption, the food doesn’t make you gain weight. Of course, this also means that you don’t benefit from the nutrients in the food. But if part of the small intestine is surgically bypassed, then less fat and calories are absorbed no matter how much food you eat.
These sound like major surgical procedures, and in their own way, they are. However, they no longer need to involve a lot of scarring and a lengthy hospital stay. Some weight loss surgery can now be done through a laparoscopy - a tiny incision through which surgical instruments are introduced and used. Because this means less actual cutting, the recovery time is a lot shorter, too.
If you have ever struggle to lose weight, the thought of weight loss surgery may seem tempting to you. However, most doctors won’t even consider doing weight loss surgery unless you fit their set of criteria - you must be very overweight (what is medically termed as ‘morbidly obese’), not just slightly overweight. There must be a medical reason for doing the surgery - for example, if your weight is becoming an overriding health issue by causing or contributing to diabetes or heart disease. Finally, you must have a willingness to change your lifestyle and habits.
This last item may surprise you, if you had been thinking of weight loss surgery as a way to avoid having to change your lifestyle and habits! No such luck. To a certain degree, just having the surgery will automatically make you change certain habits, especially if you and your doctor opt for shrinking the stomach cavity. On the other hand, just having the procedure means that you have to be careful about what you eat. For example, because the stomach is now smaller than it used to be, you will have to limit your intake of liquids, especially carbonated liquids. You will have to make sure that the food you do eat is of high quality, because you have to get all the nutrients your body requires from a decreased quantity of food. Finally, you will also have to start exercising to keep you metabolism going, because eating less food over a long period of time could cause your metabolism to decrease, putting you back at square one.
In short, weight loss surgery can be a very helpful tool, but it is not a ‘final solution’ to your weight problem. Having the surgery indicates that you are committed to your weight loss, and that you are willing to implement the lifestyle changes that go along with it.

#1 Use Antibiotic Soap
Antibiotic soap helps to clear up and prevent the infections caused by ingrown hairs. There are a number you can purchase on-line or at the drugstore, two are PanOxyl (with 10% hydrogen peroxide) and Reviva (which makes a whole line of hydrogen peroxide products).
#2 Exfoliate, But Be Gentle
Exfoliation with a wash cloth or a loofah can be a great way to get rid of dead skin cell, and can help prevent ingrown hairs. However, if you already have a number of ingrown hairs (especially if they are infected) clean them up before you begin exfoliating. Otherwise, you may further irritate your skin and make your condition worse.
#3 Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

#4. If Your Condition Doesn’t Improve, See a Doctor

Visualization and guided imagery are two of the most
powerful healing powers of your mind. All you need
to do is use your imagination for some astonishing
results.
Please note, it is never advisable to rely only on
this method for curing your ailments. Continue with
your doctor’s treatments until he/she tells you that
they are no longer needed. Visualization can greatly
speed up your recovery and shorten your recovery
period.
With visualization you heal yourself by creating strong
pictures in your mind of what you want the outcome
to be. Then you believe or pretend that those pictures
are the absolute truth.
This process can be used for anything, such as increasing
your income or receiving desired material possessions, but
for this article I will use healing as an example. You can
adjust your visualizations for other things using these
guidelines.
Take at least 20 minutes a day (two to three times a day
for any serious illnesses) and sit or lay down. Close your
eyes and get yourself into a relaxed state by taking three
deep breaths. Feel that all thoughts and tensions are being
released from your body. Visualize clear, pure energy
entering the top of your head and slowly moving down
through your whole body.
With each inhale, feel and see the pure healing energy
get brighter. With each exhale see all sickness and
disease being expelled from your body as air or smoke
and disappearing off into the universe. Continue for
several more minutes or as long as you want. If you
have a certain area of your body that is diseased, you
can put your focus there and see the illness turning to
smoke and disappearing.
Another type of visualization that works well with
healing is to imagine something taking the disease away.
For example, if it’s cancer that you want to get rid off,
imagine birds flying into your body at the site of the
cancer and pecking away at it until it is completely gone.
Or laser beams shooting into your body and burning the
cancer up. Another good visualization is to imagine a
waterfalls above your head. The water is entering your
head and washing all the disease away out through your
toes. Use your imagination and come up with ideas
that feel right for you.
Now you will use your imagination to see the end result.
Picture yourself as completely healed. Feel how strong
you are. See yourself doing all the things you love to do
as you are now once again in perfect health. Hear the
sounds around you, smell the air and fragrances, taste
the delicious foods that you are enjoying. Use all your
senses to perceive a healthy you enjoying your life to
the fullest.
You can also use this method to manifest better
relationships, better jobs, money, anything at all. The
key is to visualize in great detail what your want until
you feel in your mind that you already possess it. Do
this everyday and do not concern yourself at all about
how or when your goal will come. Just be certain that
the energy of the universe will begin moving to bring it
to you.
This has been proven by modern physics and is called
the “observer effect”. Your attention and intention to
something causes it to come into your life.
